RJS MARINE

Formed in 2018 RJS Marine is owned and managed by Rob Swier.

Based in the busy port of Cape Town Rob regularly surveys and attends vessels all over Southern Africa, providing a one-stop superior service for his numerous clients.

From a seafaring background and having sailed as chief engineer, Rob moved ashore, first as a Technical Superintendent and then as a salvage engineer with Smits. This path naturally led to a 12-year period in the survey field with Braemar (ex-BMT), ten of which as Principal Surveyor of their active and strategic Cape Town office.

Taking his in-depth knowledge and experience with him Rob now works independently, providing insurers, owners, charterers and lawyers with the survey and information that they require.
